Software Developer (m/f/d) Embedded C / C# .NET Control and Visualization for Distillation Plants
Preferably full-time · permanent position · Waldbüttelbrunn near Würzburg · starting immediately
ILUDEST Destillationsanlagen GmbH has been developing and manufacturing laboratory- and pilot-scale distillation and rectification systems for the chemical and petrochemical industries in Germany and abroad for over 30 years.
The control systems for our equipment are also developed in-house: we develop the hardware, firmware, and user interface entirely on our own, from the microcontroller to the touchscreen interface. We are currently developing the next generation of our control and visualization software using a modern technology stack and with plenty of room to help shape the architecture. We are looking for new team members to join us in this effort.
Your responsibilities
- You will develop the software used to control and operate our systems: firmware in C, as well as the user interface and visualization software running on Windows (C#/.NET, WinUI 3, WinForms).
- You will guide your software through its entire lifecycle—from requirements through design, implementation, testing, and documentation to commissioning and support—and test it on actual systems right here in-house. You will coordinate directly with colleagues in process engineering and electronics and translate their requirements into software.
- You will maintain and expand our existing systems.
Your profile
- A college degree or advanced vocational training (e.g., technician) in computer science, electrical engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Solid knowledge of at least one of our two areas of focus—object-oriented development with C#/.NET or C on microcontrollers—and a willingness to learn the other area of focus.
- Professional experience You're welcome to apply, but it's not a requirement—whether you're just starting your career or have several years of experience. We'll tailor your training and responsibilities to your skill level.
- Desirable skills: XAML/MVVM, SQL databases, network protocols (TCP/UDP), CAN bus, Git, automated testing, and C++ for maintaining our existing software.
- An independent and responsible approach to work.
- Good written and spoken German and English skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills round out your profile.
We offer
- A permanent and varied position in a small team with quick decision-making processes and a high degree of autonomy
- A dynamic and personal atmosphere.
- An intensive, personalized onboarding process; you'll gradually take on your own projects
- Flexible work hours, preferably full-time, 30 days of vacation, economics degree
- Working from home is possible one to two days a week, subject to agreement.
Would you like to make a bigger difference, too?
We look forward to receiving your application, including your salary expectations, via email at: personal@iludest.de
